Tis the season to be jolly! And would be believe it, it’s also the season to stuff yourself with cake, biscuits, crackers, and all manner of tasty festive treats. And that’s exactly what we’ll be doing at Gamerbake Christmas, which is sadly our final event of the year. We know, it’s a bittersweet occasion, but don’t worry too much because we’ll be back in 2018.
Still, before we turn out the lights, we intend to throw the biggest Christmas bake off the world has ever seen. But to do that, we’ll need a crack team of judges, so we’ve rounded up some of the very best cake-tasters this side of the Atlantic (at least, that’s what they told us). They’re the ones you’ll have to impress if you want to take home some succulent prizes, so it’s about time we introduced you.
Anisa Sanusi (@studioanisa)
Anisa is a UX and UI designer over at Hutch Games, which you might recognise as the mobile studio behind titles including MMX Racing, Race Kings, and Top Drives. You might also recognise Anisa as one of the speakers at this year’s GDC UX Summit, one of the BAFTA Games crew, and a member of the supremely talented Develop 30 Under 30 club. Soon she’ll be able to add ‘Gamerbake Judge’ to that rather impressive CV.
Claire runs Brand and Community for Level Up Media, which owns Dingit.tv and TheGamer.tv. She is also the founder of ScaryGranules, and was nominated for Best Esport Contender at the Women in Games Awards. Sponsoring Special Effect at various events has been one of the highlights of her year, while the biggest disappointment was finding out that Suvi Anwar from Mass Effect is not a real person.
Tom Donegan (@tom_donegan)
Tom is the Fundraising Events Coordinator over at our charity partner, Special Effect. He has extensive experience in event and volunteer organisation and is apparently Special Effect’s go-to guru for all things literative and cultural. Rumour has it his cake-tasting abilities are also second to none, which is a striking coincidence because he’s going to be sampling a whole tableful at Gamerbake Christmas.
